Affordable Housing Program

Affordable housing is targeted to moderate income households who are in full or part time work and can afford to pay 75% of the median rent. Currently this program is available to people who are or were residents of Waverley LGA. Bridge Housing will expand this program in the near future through our successful bid for affordable housing through the Affordable Housing Innovation Fund. For further information click here.

Fee for Service Program

Our fee for service program provides property management and other services to:

  • Waverley Council- Affordable Housing Program
  • Ningana Housing Cooperative
  • Aids Council of NSW(ACON)
  • Department of Juvenile Justice
  • The Settlement

Bridge Housing is interested in expanding our fee for service activities. Please contact Bridge Housing’s Executive Officer to discuss your proposal.

Waverley Council and the Aids Council of New South Wales provides two examples of Bridge Housing's Fee for Service programs:

Maree Girdler, Manager Integrated Planning and Community Consultation, Waverley Council  says;
Waverley Council is committed to providing a range of housing choices for Waverley residents or those who can demonstrate a connection to the local area. To do this well, Council has been able to rely on Bridge Housing to provide good tenancy management, an understanding of the aims of the program and a professional approach.
Services include an affordable housing program, our social housing program for older residents and accommodation for people with a mild intellectual disability. "Our affordable housing program is growing with the private sector delivering properties in new developments for low to middle income people. This is an innovative program which was developed from a belief that people in Waverley should be able to remain in the local area despite significant social change. Housing provided is of the highest quality and yet still affordable. Council is in a unique position in providing this kind of service."

 Lance Schema, Manager Community Services AIDS Council of NSW says;
"ACON and Bridge Housing have been working in partnership for over five years to meet the transitional housing needs of people living with HIV/AIDS. The success of this partnership is the result of each party’s clearly-defined responsibility, the strong working relationships between staff and the shared goal of supporting communities at risk of homelessness."
